The M249 is a so-called LMG - Light Machine Gun , which has a very high rate of fire and has been manufactured in various versions since 1984 and is used by many armies around the world.

The FN Herstal M249 MK2 AEG, licensed by Cybergun and manufactured by A&K, in the much lighter and yet very robust polymer version , has, like the original, a fully automatic electric firing drive and an extremely reliable M249 special metal gearbox with quick spring change system .

The LMG is made mostly of polymer fiber. The flash hider, barrel and carrying handle are made of steel and aluminum .

Under the handguard is the fold-out metal bipod with 3-way length adjustment .

Since the box magazine is an electric version with sound control, two AA batteries are required to operate the magazine (not included).

The magazine automatically reloads BBs using the automatic sound control function. In addition to the box magazine, the MK1 can also be operated with a TM-compatible M4/M16 AEG magazine.

There is enough space under the barrel for a 9.6V Nunchuck NiMh or 7.4V LiPo battery (each max. 25mm diameter). The fact that the handguard has to be removed for this is not a big problem, as it can be removed and reinstalled without tools using a quick ejection system.

The gearbox is specially designed for this model and features a quick spring change system, 8mm ball bearings and other very high-quality components. The barrel with a length of 510 mm and a diameter of 6.08 mm guarantees the best results for an LMG.

The LMG is the perfect choice for supporting fire while maintaining high mobility and maneuverability .

Experienced support gunners will soon notice no difference in weight and length compared to a normal assault rifle, but will still provide far more supporting firepower.
